Results

– The improvements of computational methods for the simulation of composite materials and structures under dynamic loading,
– The existing challenges related to: localisation, reduction of mesh dependency and treatment of material softening, adaptive and multiscale modelling using coupled discretisation methods, ability to model crack initiation, branching, closure and coalescence have been addressed,
– Probabilistic nature of material properties were included in model definition and
– Simulation tools were validated applying to the small coupon tests
